Cascade was instrumental in the formation of the original NZ Swimming Pool Association in 1976 and Cascade founder Larry Ogden was first President, being re-elected as President for four terms, then remaining Executive Director until 1984 and in general membership until 1988. In 1992, Larry was a Founder Member of the NZ Master Pool Builders Guild - comprising of qualifying swimming pool professionals with ten or more years experience in pool construction.
